Bachelor of Science Program in Information Technology

by Jennifer
(Mobile, AL)

I have been going to Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, AL for almost two and half years now, where I'm enrolled in bachelor of science program in Information Technology online. My learning experince there has been wonderful.

I pay about $190 per semester hour which I believe is less than half of what some online colleges charge. So one course is about $512 and this includes the price of the book. The books are very good and are very easy to follow. Any time I have to contact my professors or the school staff I receive an e-mail or call within 24 hours. The school is very supportive. As of right now I have not been in school for almost a month due to the holidays but plan on going back. The dean sent me a personal letter asking if anything was wrong, when I was going to start back, and if I needed any help to contact him.

My only interaction with other students is when we have discussions on certain topics which are very good and educational to see others' opinions. The only online tools needed is just being able to login to the learning management system from home or wherever and go from there. My overall feeling about the school is that I wish I would have started there earlier as I would have my degree by now instead of going to the traditional semester school.

The school gives credit for previous schools attended, military, and even life skills or experiences. I will more than likely continue there to get my Masters in Business Administration in Information Technology.
