Jacksonville University's online RN to BSN program is designed to give working registered nurses (RNs) with busy personal lives opportunity to earn their bachelor's in nursing degrees (BSNs). Students take eight-week classes either full- or part-time via streaming video, CD ROM, or MP3 audio-technologies that allow students to study whenever and wherever they want. Required courses are designed for experienced nurses. Electives focus on specialized practice such as music in nursing and alternative approaches to nursing. Graduates of the online program earn the same bachelor's of science in nursing degree as campus students earn. Jacksonville University nursing students may qualify for private, state and federal nursing scholarships as well as federal Perkins and Stafford Loans. Applicants are screened for academic scholarships or grants ranging from $1,000 to $18,000 a year. Jacksonville University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
