Online Bachelors in Business Administration and Public Policy

by Randy Krause
(Middletown, NY USA)

The quality of the learning material provided is exactly the same as a campus course. I'm pursuing an online bachelors in business administration and public policy degree and the textbooks are provided in PDF formats for students to download and read or print out.

The courses so far are very well structured by the use of discussion questions (DQ's). These are the starting points for interacting with your classmates about the current week's coursework material. It provides an area for you to convey that you understand the ideas being discussed and to give your thoughts and opinions. Each instructor asks that you answer them differently. Some have word count requirement or reference material; others would like real life experiences as examples.

The professors have been very committed to my success and have responded within 24 hours to my emails when I have a concern about the material or coursework. Interaction with fellow students is fairly abundant, especially when working on team projects and papers. The online University library is very large, and has access to hundreds of journals for academic research.

The cost of attending the UOP online is actually LESS than what it would cost for online learning from a state college here in NY where I reside. Online classes also allow me to sign on when I can to complete coursework by the required deadlines. My advise to anyone interested in online education is that you need to keep yourself motivated and on track as classes move very quickly!
